Severe Lower Back Pain Helped // Sandra
When Sandra first came to see me she could hardly walk through the door. She was in so much pain that she needed her husband to support her when she walked. She wasn’t sleeping and life had pretty much come to a stand still for her.
Fortunately after a full exam and x ray, I found a problem with her left pelvis (SI joint).
After a few corrections to this joint over a couple of weeks, she is now walking and sleeping again!!
Severe Shoulder Pain Helped // Heather
Heather presented with severe shoulder pain for the past 2 years – HELPED!
Heather was suffering with he right shoulder for the past 2 years. This testimonial was emotional for Heather due to what it meant to her. She struggled to lie flat which made sleeping very difficult and simple daily activities were very limiting for her. Cooking and baking were also out of the question for Heather.
After seeing numerous other professionals, Heather felt unheard and lost. It wasn’t just about he pain for Heather, it was about what it stopped her from doing. Her life felt like it was on hold without knowing how to get it back on track again.
After taking a thorough history and examination of Heather, I fortunately managed to find the cause of her problem. After making several specific corrections to her neck, her pain started to improve and her function began to return. Heather is now able to sleep, perform her normal daily activities and do what she loves again, cooking and baking.
Low Back Pain Helped // Martin
Martin had pain in his lower back that made it difficult for him to move around such as walking. This was espeically problematic due to one of his many planned paragliding trips that was a couple weeks away at the time of him coming.
The Cause? Martin had a rotated pelvis on the right side that had misaligned in two directions, posterior (backwards) as well as externally (outwards). This meant the adjustment had to be very specific to correct for both of these misalignments at once.
After 2-3 specific corrections, Martin was able to enjoy his paragliding without any issues.
Sciatica Helped // Victoria
Vicky had pain in her back that radiated down her leg after pulling on a tree root. The pain stopped her from looking after her beloved grandchildren and working in the garden.
The cause? After a thorough examination including an X-Ray of the lower back, the problem was found to be caused by an issue with the joints of the lower back pinching the nerve as it travelled down the leg. This is called Lumbar Spinal Stenosis.
After a series of specific Gonstead Chiropractic adjustments to the lower back, Vicky is now mostly recovered but most importantly able to look after her grandchildren and get back to gardening.
Knee Pain Helped // Akif
Akif had pain in his knee that made it difficult to carry on his regular home exercise routine that he enjoys to keep fit.
The Cause? This may surprise some but this was a case that was caused by his L4 vertebra in his lower back. Relief was noticed immediately after adjusting this segment. No amount of work on the knee previous to this had any lasting results until we corrected the spine.
Akif is now back to his exercises without any issues
Foot Pain Helped // Fiona
Fiona presented with a 2 year history of chronic foot pain. This not only stopped her from getting from A to B but also meant she couldn’t go on those long walks that she really enjoyed. She had seen other Chiropractors previously with unfortunately for her, little success.
The Cause? The joints within her foot were out of alignment causing them to become restricted in movement causing poor mechanics which lead to chronic inflammation causing pain!
The Solution? Specific adjustments to the foot, ankle, knee and lower back to restore proper mechanics to the entire chain to relieve the pressure from the inflamed joints allowing them to heal.
Whenever we deal with an issue like this, we make sure we deal with the entire kinematic chain for best results. The body doesn’t work in isolation but as a unit in concert with itself.
Fiona is now able to move around freely and is back to enjoying her long walks!
Low Back Pain in Teenager - HELPED!
My 15 years old son was suffering for at least 4 months with his back. He couldn’t do any activities at all. He struggled to get up the stairs and getting up from a sitting position. It did effect his mental health as he thought that’s him from now on. We have been seen by different physiotherapists but nothing helped him at all. We met Dr Steven Hulme, after the assessment and first session we have seen much improvement. A few sessions and he went back to his normal activities and playing football which he missed. I am walking because of Steve, and walking without pain! Now I come from a medical family, I sublux my joints mainly my wrists and ankles. I have seen all sorts of physios, osteopaths and chiropractors over the decades. Until now I have never found a good chiropractor. I told Steve what had happened during the accident, he assessed me, looked at the scans… the first thing he said was my pelvis WAS rotated out of place at my SIJs which was causing the pain and movement problems.
